The Duke plays a dying gunfighter who spends his last days looking for a way to die with the least pain and the most dignity. Featuring supporting roles from Hollywood legends Jimmy Stewart and Lauren Bacall, the film is a wonderful elegy to Wayne, Westerns and the American frontier.
