Screened in tribute to Angela Lansbury (1925 - 2022)

While posing for a portrait, Dorian Gray (Hurd Hatfield) comes under the amoral influence of his friend Lord Henry Wotton (George Sanders), who claims that all men should pursue their sensual longings, but laments that only the young get to do so. Dorian promptly wishes that his painting would age while he stays forever young - a wish that comes with a dreadful price… This 1945 adaptation of Oscar Wilde's haunting tale features a memorable turn from Angela Lansbury as the actress Sylbyl Vane, who comes under Dorian’s fatal spell.
