Sidney Lumet’s 1975 heist drama is a film we’ve long wanted to show at film club. In fact, we’ve put it up for the vote four times in the last seven years and it’s never won (take a look at The Chain to see the competition). We can only assume it’s because you’ve seen it before... Well, if that’s the case, like Alien last week, it’s a film that’s always worth revisiting. And if you haven’t seen it, watch it with us this week and we might forgive you not voting for it next time we inevitably try to add it to The Chain.
As you’ll see in Wayne’s video intro below, Dog Day Afternoon came to mind for this week’s film because we’re in the middle of Pride month and we’ve also enjoyed something a heatwave.
We’d love to hear what you think of Dog Day Afternoon once you’ve seen it. Leave a comment here, send us an email, Tweet us @tpfilmclub or post on our Facebook or Instagram pages.
