As a savage comedy about man’s rebellion in the face of death it has rarely been bettered.

Screened in tribute to Donald Sutherland (1935 - 2024)

Set in a Medical Army Surplus Hospital during the Korean War, Donald Sutherland stars as top surgeon 'Hawkeye' Pearce, who, along with fellow surgeon 'Trapper' John McIntyre (a brilliant Elliott Gould), attempt to leaven the horrors of war through childish pranks and by maintaining a deadly serious sense of irony and irreverence - much to their superiors' chagrin. M*A*S*H was the winner of Winner of the Palme D’or and the Golden Globe, was nominated for five Academy Awards, was Robert Altman’s breakthrough film, made a star of Donald Sutherland and also spawned one of the most successful American sitcoms of all time. In short: a darkly satirical comedy classic.
