A fictionalised account of the largest counterfeit operation in history, Operation Bernhard: the Nazi’s secret plan to destroy the British economy by flooding it with forged bank notes. Jewish counterfeiter, Salomon 'Sally' Sorowitsch, assisting the operation at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, inhabits a morally grey world where principles are pitched against the will to survive. Winner of the 2008 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
